Conference Overview

The Black Issues on Computing Education Symposium is the premier venue for research on innovation, challenges, and best practices as it relates to Blacks in postsecondary computing education. The first instance of this symposium will be guided by our symposium theme, “Navigating through an Emerging Recession.” The in-person symposium will be held in Santo Domingo Republic, Dominican Republic, with opportunities for attendees and presenters to participate in sessions, networking, and collaborative discussions. The core goal of the symposium is to disseminate findings from successful (and unsuccessful) interventions that will lead to wiser decision-making, new policies, and strategic investments aligned with best practices.
